Contemplating Christmas coming, cookie making, decorating, dinner parties, etc - thought I'd post a painting I did of pastries in a french bakery (in D.C.) - they are non-caloric if you just admire the painting!  They looked so delectable with their dense chocolate, lovely strawberries, cremes and foils wrappings.  I simply had to paint them.
  Today, my mother-in-law brought over oil paints and a wonderful video of Hockney - so very kind!

    I sure hope you'll come by the Glen Helen Nature Arts and Craft show the coming w.e.!  Sat. Nov. 19 from 9-5p and Sun Nov. 20 from 11-5pm.
   I share a booth with Theresa M. just inside the big room...There will be so many beautiful things that have been lovingly hand-made.

'Evening Colors' watercolor painting - 2011

YSHS, Theatre Arts Group, sketching, Yellow Springs

This is a little sketch I made during the play 'Chicago' that the Y.S. High School theatre group did last spring....of Velma, one of the main characters.  I did it in the dark in a little diary I brought - with a flair.  I guess I'll bring it along next week and make more of the current actors/actresses.
    I'm putting together the program for the upcoming playright now - want to put in an ad?
It is  'A Night in Ballyhoo' - to be performed Nov. 11,12, 13 and 18,19,20 at Mills Lawn.  I hope you can come see it!
